American Society of Addiction Medicine
Working to increase access to and improve the quality of addiction treatment. ASAM educates physicians, medical and osteopathic students, and the public as well as promotes research and prevention.

The Arc
The Arc of the United States advocates for the rights and full participation of all children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Striving to improve systems of supports and services; connect families; inspire communities and influence public policy.

Information and referral for families dealing with autism.


Child Welfare League of America
An association of 1,000 public and private nonprofit agencies that assist more than 3.5 million abused and neglected children and their families each year with a wide range of services.


Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA)
The organization  impacts the management of depression and bipolar disorders by providing up-to-date, scientifically-based tools and information written in language the general public can understand.

Faces and Voices of Recovery
A national campaign of individuals and organizations joining together to advocate for public action to deliver the power, possibility and proof of recovery.

Nar-Anon Family Group is primarily for those who know or have known a feeling of desperation concerning the addiction problem of a family member or friend.


Narcotics Anonymous
Provides a recovery process and support network inextricably linked together. Members share their successes and challenges in overcoming active addiction and living drug-free productive lives through the application of the principles contained within the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of NA.

National Institute on Drug Abuse
Offers separate sections designed for researchers and health professionals; teachers and parents; and students.

National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
The National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS) is a non-profit organization  NOFAS increases public awareness and mobilizes grassroots action in diverse communities and represents the interests of persons with FASD and their caregivers as the liaison to researchers and policymakers.

Office of National Drug Control Policy
Establishes policies, priorities, and objectives for the nation's drug control program. The goals of the program are to reduce illicit drug use, manufacturing, and trafficking, drug-related crime and violence.
