APP Mission and Vision

We are a non-profit art program that promotes mental health recovery by providing opportunities for community members living with mental illness to express themselves creatively through photography. As they grow as artists within our supportive community, APP students learn to express themselves, rebuild confidence, and recognize the value of their lives and the lives of their peers.

We are an innovative organization, and we want to share our success. We inspire other communities to create arts-based recovery programs for people living with mental illness. Community-based art promotes civic engagement and social equality, and ensures that important voices are heard.
