The Athens Photographic Project’s mission is to provide severely mentally ill people with a set of tools for learning to express themselves as part of their recovery from mental illness; to encourage rediscovery of their personal identities; to foster self-confidence, pride and purpose. And above all, hope. All this is done in a safe, but challenging learning environment.
