The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Athens, Hocking and Vinton Counties (317 Board) is a local mental health, alcohol and drug addiction authority for the three county area and is made up of eighteen citizens representing the three counties. The 317 Board's role is to design policies, evaluate programs, access funds and monitor services for those seeking help. The Board receives State and Federal funding from the Ohio Department of Mental Health, Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and local tax levies passed by the citizens of Athens, Hocking and Vinton Counties. Each year the 317 Board contracts with local agencies to provide a comprehensive selection of mental health, drug and alcohol addiction services throughout the three counties. - This agency works with counties throughout Appalachian Ohio to maximize people’s potential for independence and well-being.
