What does the 317 Board do? 
• Creates a Network of Care for people who need treatment for mental illness and/or alcohol and drug addiction.
• Contracts with local agencies to deliver services to our friends, families and community members.
• Obtains funds, designs policies, and monitors services for those seeking help.
• Promotes educational and prevention programs to raise community awareness of behavioral health issue
You may complete the application online but must print, sign and mail to the board office.
Applications are required to have an original signature.

An ODMH appointee must be one of the following:
• Consumer
• Family member of someone with a mental illness
• Mental Health Professional
• Psychiatrist
• Other Physician

The Athens-Hocking-Vinton Commissioners appoint community members from their county. Please contact your commissioner's office for more information.
317 Board Community Representatives
The 317 Board includes four community representatives for their Mental Health Services Committee and Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Committee. If you are a mental health consumer or family member of someone with a mental illness you may qualify as a Mental Health Services Committee Community Representative. If you are a consumer or family member of someone with an addiction you may qualify as an Alcohol & Drug Addiction Service Committee Community Representative.
